Fabulous Friday Giveaway!

Are you ready for this weeks FFG question??
You might want to take a minute to think about this one.
On Monday Lola welcomed a new addition into her family.
She is so excited that she has finally arrived and,
although they haven't known each other for long,
Lola already feels a strong bond forming.
The new little sweetie is fuzzy, soft,
and adjustable!
She is a Dritz Ms. Venus girls dress form size 6-8.
Isn't she adorable???
So!! The question this week is:
What should we name our new little girl??

Lola has already had several long and meaningful conversations with her and would really like to start calling her by name, and making up fun nick-names for her. (Lola is a bit odd)

Comment on this post before Friday ends, and win a great prize......I don't know what it is, but they are always great!

I live in NJ, but my family is in Salem and when I visited a few weeks ago we stopped at your shop. LOVE IT!
I think you should name her Glamma or Princess Genevieve.

I call my little girl Hanna-Who. It just rolls of the tounge. I don't really know where is came from, mostly because her name is Karas. Weird.

I think Violet would be nice.

I actually had a roommate in college whose name was Magenta. From the photos, your little girl looks Magenta! You could call her Mags for short :D

Ruth B said...

Oh my gosh...my idea was Magenta too except I was going to suggest "Maggie" as a nickname. Maybe it is just my monitor but she looks magenta to me too.

How about Ruby?

Looks like so much fun!

Here's my 2 cents : Sunny Sue. Every beautiful sunrise and sunset has that pink in it, and every day brings a chance to make/sew things :) And the Sue, just cause... Good luck!

Lola, I think she should be named Tulah. Mostly because you will be tooling around with her... and a cute name is tulah loo la! Kinda like Lola!

We love the books Pinkalicious and Purplicious at our house, and I think either of those could be fabulous names for your new addition--depending on whether she's more pinkish or more purplish.

Lizzie. Or Lizzie-Lou. Just because she looks spunky.

Jessica G. said...

I'd call her Dizzy, since she'll constantly be spun around to get that perfect fit!

How great. That color reminds me of a Marilyn Monroe pink. I'd call her Marilyn for sure. Have fun :)

How about "Rhoda"?. We like to give things charmingly ugly names for fun in my family. I always liked her better than prissy, 'ol Mary Tyler Moore anyway.

And the winner is...."POLLY PERFECT" Yeah!!

She looks violet on my screen. How about Violeta, or Leta-Lou. I think she needs a two part name, maybe something Lou...

Rachel said...

hmmm...Milo...as in Venus de Milo. I think we should honor her history and that lovely pink color.

I say...hmmmm...Rosette meaning Little Rose.

Blakely said...

how about Giselle like the from the movie Enchanted.

I think you should name her Princess Di. Queen Elizabeth said of Princess Diana, First, I want to pay tribute to Diana myself. She was an exceptional and gifted human being. In good times and bad, she never lost her capacity to smile and laugh, nor to inspire others with her warmth and kindness. And thats what you will do Lola inspire and bring warmth and happiness. (besides you might get sister points, just say you named her after one of your favorite sisters) haha

How about Sophie? I think that it has great nick name potential- Sof, Sofa, Phie. Just a thought.

I am all about random fun names. I went to beauty school and named my mannequin head Yolanda. She was so good to me. Ten years later I still have her. So my pick is Shaniqua. Ah I love it!

Lynsey Lou said...

UM DUH you should name her IZZY or IVY!! I think that is only right you are making clothes using her!

Torres Family said...

She looks like a little purple Piper to me! With a name like Piper she can have some great nicknames!!!

Sue Cahill said...

The name I would propose is Rosalind, sophisticated but still sweet.

She definately needs and "I" name to go with Izzy and Ivy, howabout Iva Lou?

When I seen the word Venus
all I could think of is Frankie Avalon in the early 70's singing the song Venus. So a good name I think is Mrs.Frankie Avalon, or maybe Frankie's girl. Just a thought.

Lucy...as in "lucy...where are u" (I love lucy) it for some reason looks kinda sorta like her? ok not really but I do have an old mannequin head we could stick on her, then at least he can look at you when you're talking to her, that would be nice...

Well, she is groovy with all those wonderful adjustable grooves (kinda like how we are constantly adjusting to all the ins, outs, ups, downs, and all things large and small in life), so, naturally her name ought to be Stella. You go girl! Always remember that any time you feel that you have lost your groove, you can get it back. Better than before!

I think she should be named "Rosy Posy". She is pretty and pink and I'm sure she smells like a rose.

How about Del or Mel? (unless Diana has already chosen those)

:)

I think you should name her Sadie Jane, that is just cute :)

How about Lady Fluffington?

Very Mary said...

I think she's a Bitsy.

When I looked at her the first name that popped in my head was Vera. Not sure why, but I like it.

With that much pink she should definitely be a Penelope. Penny Pink for short.
