Some dang fun events

There are some really great events coming up that you should know about. First off in February, Delta, Utah will be having there Snow Goose Festival. As part of the festival there is the "Piece in the Valley" quilt show. The dates are Friday February 19th and Saturday the 20th. We will be teaching three different classes at the quilt show. On Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 we will be teaching the Jack and Jill hat by Izzy and Ivy designs. From 1:00 to 4:00 we will be teaching the Beverly Bell Dress Top. Saturday starting at 8:30 and running all day, we will be teaching the Popp'n Posies Quilt by Izzy and Ivy designs. Click here to go right to the spot to download and register for the classes.

Now this next event is a little further off but registration is going on now. Pie Plate Patterns is having there 2nd annual Super Spring Quilt Retreat. It is April 7-10 at the Willow Creek Inn in Ephraim, Utah. We will be teaching the Jack and Jill hat by Izzy and Ivy designs, on April 8 from 8:30 to 11:30. These are two really great events for beginners to experienced. A great way to see what other quilters are up to.

September Classes

Here is the schedule for the rest of the September classes.

There are lots of fun ones so call in and sign up or head in to the shop.

Tomorrow the 17- Is the purse of the Month. Short notice I know but so cute. Come learn how to make the Black Forest bag by Melly and Me.

Tuesday the 22- Machine Applique. The Topsy Turvy Witch is waiting for you to make her. This pattern includes instructions for the Witch and Table Topper.

Wednesday the 23- Surprisingly Super Simple. This is our beginning quilt class. It is super easy, very cute quilt. You will learn all the basics of rotary cutting, and piecing blocks.

Thursday the 24 - Pajama Pants. This class is great for beginners. Make these cute pants in any size and fabric.

Tuesday the 29 - Thanksgiving wall Hanging. Come make a cute Turkey wall hanging. the pattern is Running Scared by Pieces from my Heart designs. Kits are also available.

Wednesday the 30 - Uptown Girl Jacket. This jacket is dang cute. It would make a great gift or would look so cute on your preschooler. This is not a class for beginning sewers.

Here are the fun Pajama Pants. Can't ever have enough pajamas!

They would also be good Christmas gifts!

January Classes

January Class Schedule....finally

Tues. 6th-Pincushion Class
We will be learning the Square Deal pincushion by Heather Bailey.
Class is Free. Starts at 6:30pm


Wed. 7th and Wed. 21st-Sew Sensible
This is an 8 part class on making children's clothing. The class includes a CD-Rom with all of the patterns and instructions on it. This will be held on the first and third wed. of the month.
Starts at 6:30 pm


Thurs. 8th-Quilting 101
This is a beginning quilt piecing class. You will learn the basics of rotary cutting and quilt piecing using the Surprisingly Super Simple pattern. Class is Free. Starts at 6:30pm


Fri. 9th and Fri. 16th-After School Kids class
This class is a basic sewing class for kids ages 8 and up. Class is $40 a month. It will be held from 4-5:30pm.


Saturday 10- Applique with Francine
This is a needle turn applique class. Class is free. It will be held 10:00-2:00pm


Tues. 13th- Daisy Dewdrop Rug
These cute rugs can be found all over our store. They are from the pattern by Threaded Pear. Class is free and starts at 6:30pm.

Wed 14th-Apron Class
This class is on the full apron from the Retro Aprons book.
Class is free and starts at 6:30pm

Thurs. 15th and Sat. 17- Quilting 102
This is a 2 part class for the beginning quilt piecer who feels like they need a little more experience. The quilt is the squares and rails pattern. The first day we will be picking out our fabric and cutting it and the second day we will sew it all together. Class is free and starts at 6:30 on Thursday and 10:00 am on Saturday

Tues. 20th-Rag Quilt
Come and learn how to make a rag quilt.
Class is free and starts at 6:30pm

Thurs. 22-Purse of the month-
Each month is an new bag. This month we will be learning how to make a re-usable shopping bag. It can be made in 3 different sizes, and is cute enough to use as a purse!

Fri. 23- Fabric covered Crate
Come and make this sooooo cute crate cover. Class is free and starts at 6:30pm

Sat. 24th- Kids Quilting
This is for the advanced child sewer. They must be approved or invited to attend this class We will be piecing the 5 and dime quilt. Class is free and starts at 10:00am

Wed. 28th- Carrie's Purse
Come and have Carrie teach you how to make her great purse.
Class is free and starts at 6:30pm

Thurs 29th- Self Binding Receiving blanket
Learn how to make these fast and easy baby blankets. Class is free and starts at 6:30pm

Friday 30th-Git-r-Done-
Want to get those projects done before the month is over? Come and have a great Git-r-done sewing night with us! The night is free ans starts at 6:30 pm

All classes have a $20 deposit, which will be returned to you when you show up for the class!!
